Arrival in Los Angeles

We arrived in Los Angeles after a flight of at least 12 hours.  Barack Obama's picture smiles down on all international visitors, as they head into the terminal and find their way to the large Immigration Hall.  After queuing for nearly an hour just to see the immigration officials, our passports were stamped and we were wished a pleasant stay after all the fingers and two thumbs on both our hands were duly finger-printed.  Have to admit I'd long forgotten about the finger printing requirement.  Welcome to the United States!

I was starving, so I munched on a decent salad before we departed Tom Bradley International Airport, and headed by shuttle bus to the Knott's Berry Farm Hotel, attached to the Knott's Berry Farm theme park.  This is the oldest theme park in America.  We've purchased tickets to enter the theme park, and will do so shortly.  My body clock is completely out of whack.  It's now 3am in Canberra, but 10am here in LA.  Driving here in the shuttle, it really looked like late afternoon, but it was only nine in the morning.

Inside the hotel, Jean's getting onto wifi.
